Bolton Hospice required a replacement transfusion pump. The pump is an electric mechanism which pumps fluids intravenously around the body. It can pump water, medication, bloods and platelets so can be used for rehydration, to administer medication and other useful substances over a measured period of time.

It is something they use a lot in their Day Therapy service as people prefer to have these procedures done in the comfort of the hospice, with other social activities and holistic treatments available, rather than in the hospital.

“Thank you very much again to you and the trustees for your incredibly valuable support.”
